What is it?
The Cosmetovigilance is the systematic evaluation of adverse reactions and quality deviations during the stage of marketing the products of toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes, which includes the proper recording of complaints and technical analysis of the reported cases.

How important?
For a product of Hygiene and cosmetics from the market, studies proving its safety and its effectiveness must be submitted to the relevant bodies. However, with the commercialization and large-scale use, adverse effects should be reported and evaluated, this being the role of Cosmetovigilance can be observed. The conditions of use and individual factors, often unpredictable, can trigger adverse reactions, although very rare and not directly or exclusively related to the product may occur.
When the adverse effect or the deviation of quality arise, it is essential that they be reported and evaluated by qualified professionals to interpret and take steps to maintain the safety and efficacy of these products.

What are the objectives?
1 Improving patient care and safety in relation to the use of products of Hygiene and Public Health and Cosmetics;
2 Facilitate communication, by user, problems arising from the use, quality deviations or undesirable effects of products of toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes, allowing monitoring, analysis and investigation of notifications.
